The $11 billion spent annually worldwide for hearing devices is dominated by conventional hearing aids, cochlear implants and middle ear implants. OtoKinetics has created a new device, Krescendo, which we believe will provide extraordinary acoustic performance in a device that is invisible, once implanted, and will overcome the considerable drawbacks of all of the existing devices. The concept has been enthusiastically endorsed by internationally prominent Otologists(ear surgeons), nine of whom are serving on the Company’s Medical Advisory Board.
OtoKinetics does not have a clever idea in search of customers; we have a solution to satisfy a proven demand. Many patients who are unhappy with their existing hearing devices have already told their ENT doctors that they are willing to try a device like Krescendo. We believe that Krescendo will be a compelling upgrade for them, that they will pay for it themselves, and that there are enough of these patients to support our financial projections.
